Just bought a C250 coupe as my new daily:

It’s my first merc and I’m very impressed so far so I’m sure it wont be my last.

I really like the look of these. I've lost touch with modern Merc badges vs what's under bonnet, though, so I hope it goes as well as it looks!

Also, what's the yellow car on the drive?

(MR2? Or shall I get my coat?)

It's got 201bhp, 369lb and weighs 1655kg so it's not what you'd call fast but has enough torque and handles well enough to make it fun to drive while delivering good economy. 48mpg so far with a mix of city and motorway driving should do 50+ when driven sensibly.

201 bhp in a Copen? That should be very nippy.

No no that's in the merc. 200bhp in the Copen would be wild they only have around 70 standard.

Looks great,I have the saloon CDI and get well over 50 mpg on motorways, best sofar is 65 mpg but that was 200 miles at 70 mph. I would say that the power is "just adequate", the longer you keep your foot on the floor, the faster it seems to accelerate, probably to do with the twin turbo technology, massive torque for a 2lt.

Where did you get the grill, looks non standard issue ?

Nice looker.

Just bought myself a C250 Sport Plus saloon which I collect in a couple of weeks. Good to hear the mpg as I have been used to using the C63 as a daily so anything over 20mpg is fantastic hehe

Looking at yours, you've gone for the same AMG Sport Plus pack...are you happy with it? Mine has the dynamic handling pack (which was already specced) and worried that it will be a bit too crashy...

MB certainly want to sell cars at the moment and the deals are very good.

Enjoy it..

I came from a 20-25 mpg daily driver too so it makes a massive difference! Mine doesn't have the handling pack so cant comment there but happy with the sport plus pack. I mainly went for it because I preferred interior TBH!

Having looked at one of these with the black wheels today, the only thing I'd change is the centre caps; get the black AMG ones, they're only about £10 each, but would transform the wheel IMO.

Wow, what a great looking spec. I'm just spec'ing up a petrol C250 AMG Sport/Plus Saloon. Unfortunately the Coupe just doesn't have enough headroom in the back for tall teenagers!! I'm taking an AMG Sport out for a test drive this week, but could you tell me how you're finding the ride quality, I know it's a slightly lowered and stiffened suspension, but generally reviews seem to think that Mercedes have got a nice balance between handling and comfort.

Also as I go into negotiations, can anyone share experiences on negotiations with Merc?

Thanks a lot.

Here is mine.

With the Sports Pack plus, the ride is still firm and I haven't activated the 'sport' button yet.

Nowhere near as firm a ride as the C63 with PPP and Drivers pack but firmer than I was expecting.

Still love it though as the improvements with the interior over the previous c class are great.

At low speeds though the steering is extremely light and doesnt feel connected with the road wheels. Once on the move it becomes nicely weighted.
