Hi, after a long history of British sports cars and other hot and semi hot cars plus a few barges I've rashly plunged in to ownership of a 1974 230.6 W115 saloon...it's been overhauled and everything (touches wood) works, recon engine (new head), braking system, fuelling, electrics etc.. managed to beat the owner down to $2,200 (AUD)
Firstly, cars are super-expensive in aus compared to home (UK) and I can't work out whether these cars are worthless or I just got a bargain, and secondly it has a column manual change (huh?) which is hard to get used to..thirdly I was hoping to find an owners forum but googling pulls a blank..
Has anyone here owned one and/or knows what I should watch for failure/maintenance issues?
Many thanks!
