I followed the advice above and found myself a cracker. I've used it everyday for almost three months, covering 5000 miles, with not one issue so far. Just make sure everything works properly before you commit.

My father bought a 2000 cl 500 nearly 3 years ago for £5600 with 95000 miles and full Mercedes service history. Its now done just over 130K and other than servicing and tyres the only thing is't needed was a engine cooling fan. These car's were very expensive when new, big car's can equal big bill's. i think it's just luck more than anything. A couple of friends have also bought cl's, one again has not had to repair anything in two years and the other has had, suspension pump's, first one lasted just over a year (came with mercedes two year warranty), cooling fan, folding door mirrors and broken wiring between door and 'a' pillar.
