I hope if done the right thing.... I have just bought an 07 reg a class 150 with 29,000 miles on the clock, with a full merc service history.

Should be ready to collect middle of next week.

Your thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hello Taura, we were looking at these for my wife. Were put off by those supposedly in the know for reliability and depreciation issues. Will be interested to know how you get on.

Nice choice, we ran a 56 A150 Avantgarde for a few years and it was an excellent car. Trouble free motoring and superb service from the dealers. Don't be put of by any reliability stories you hear as they only apply to the old shape pre-2004 model, the newer A-Class is significantly improved. I'm tempted to buy another but think I'd go for the 200 Turbo next time! Depreciation is harsh in the first couple of years but it means they are a cheap used buy compared to the equivalent Golf or 1-series.

They really are very under-rated and deserve to be more popular. Better than the new A-Class in some ways with more interior space (even though its shorter) and Mercedes own engines (new model has a Renault diesel).

Well, picked up the car this morning and I am really pleased with it.

Cannot wait to drive it again tomorrow.

We went and test drove an A150 cvt petrol today and discounted it because they are dangerously slow. Rest of the car was lovely though so we are looking at an A200 cdi auto

I found that it had plenty of power. I have a tiger kit car which is my speed fix.
