slipping autotrans

i have a 280ce coupe of which has been in storage for 3-4 years everything is good apart from the auto gear box which will not select 3rd, on tests it has selected it and changes from 3rd to 4th with out issue, but once it drops to second thats it stuck. please help as i have no more hair to pull out.
