2012 C63 AMG Warning Lights: Any ideas?
Discussion
The red star in the picture shows the scene of a mystery warning. When I start the car it sometimes, but not always, shows me a picture of the rear seats. I have no idea why. I turned off the child locks straight away, but that presumably can’t be it. I have searched the internet, a bit, without any sign of an explanation. So, periodically, my car gives me another warning I cannot understand.
Any ideas what it's on about?

I have it on my E63
On start up it shows a picture of 3 rear seats and if the seats are occupied or not and if the seatbelts are being used or not. even if no one is in the back it will show all 3 rear seat with no seat belts click in, if 2 people are in the rear it will show 2 people and if their seat belts are clicked in or not.
I presume its default on in case a low weight child is in the car and not strapped in as it will show when they are clicked in or not. I think its good but then I have 3 small children.

^^^^This. The image will change if you have any selt belts connected in the rear.
It basically is a warning so that if you have rear occupants, it will tell you if they have belted up. If you connect one of the belts and then turn the ignition on, the image will change to highlight which belt is connected..
It is not really an annoyance as it is only on for a few seconds.
As for the other warning, according to your blog you have found out what it is....

So it's a warning that either I might have extremely light people in back, or using my Sherlock Holmes like powers of deduction, it is telling me I have put the shopping on the back seat without putting its seat belt on!
Good God, couldn't they just stop all this nonsense and make it cheaper?

You can 'turn off' the high beam assist by turning the light switch from auto to on. You will then have the control over the main beam stalk.
Thanks, I stumbled across it last night, why you can't just over-ride it on to high beam is a mystery. I think you could on my old S4, but because the technology was unobtrusive, I really can't remember.f328nvl said:

It lets you know if you have passengers in the back who have not belted up,or indeed undone their seat belts whilst travelling.A good idea if you don't want them careering into the back of you in the event of a crash or you having to stop quickly.Good God, couldn't they just stop all this nonsense and make it cheaper?
On the E class if you press the OK button as soon as it shows it will be cancelled.

" Can I talk to you about the word of God?"
"OK"
may not work with Jehovah's Witnesses, for example.
