In the market for maybe leasing my next car and current lease on the E Class seem an absolute steal.

With the new one just round the corner, anyone think Merc might keep these cheap prices or reckon they'll take them inline with the 5 Series?

Unfortunately its only cheap at the moment because they've got stock built up of the current shape W212 that needs to be shifted. As they don't want to be seen offering massive discounts to the public, they are instead offering them cheaply on business leases.

Its thin ice though, the other problem is BMW have just dumped a mass of very nearly new low mileage F10 5s on the market (ex-olympic) for about £10k under list. This looks to be knocking back the resale values of similar cars in the same class, and has the potential to lower the 3-year residual value for all ... which could lead to more expensive lease prices. There is only so much off a loss a manufacturer can absorb.

Interesting to watch anyway!

Cheers Va1o.

Less than £288 inc VAT for a personal lease.

Bargain, I'd say go for it! The facelift doesn't move things forward enough to justify spending any more IMO.

Oh and here's an example of the BMWs I mentioned above if you are in the market:

Manual box? In an exec saloon? How frightfully common wink

Just leased a E250 diesel sport saloon with the AMG kit on it for 330 PCM inc VAT on a 3 plus 35 deal from Ling - she's got some even cheaper deals on for the SE spec cars. Total no brainer as list price is just shy of 39k if I bought it.

All W212 E-Classes have full Artico artifical leather standard, most people can't tell that apart from proper Leather as it looks and feels the same.

nono On the SE yes, but Avantgarde trim level on the W212 gets full real leather.

or as we used to call it...vinyl.

There's no way it looks or feels like decent real leather seats.

I thought it was called "plastic"?

Only people who've never had leather seats, or Mercedes salesmen, will tell you it looks and feels the same.

It doesn't. It's st.
