W202 C-Class flat key fob battery, how to get in car?

Hi all, sadly my father in law passed away last week. My wife needs to get into his car to retrieve his disabled badge to return it. I believe it's a 1997 C180, maybe a 200. She has the key fob but it apparently is doing nothing. I suspect the car hasn't moved for months in all honesty so could be that the car has a flat battery or the key fob or both. She tells me that there is no key hole on the doors? That being the case, how do you get in the car?

The passenger front door has a lock . Hope all goes ok .

hi, it should have a spare blade tucked down the side that you have to pull out.

I think there's a cover on the lock too - that may be causing confusion
