Manchester Mercedes did a fantastic job on it today. Very reasonalble price on everything too. Even looks and smells like they treated the leather on the seats. They look like new!
The car has just passed 62,000 miles and just turned 3 years old. It's going to be sad to see it go. Going to make someone a magical performance bargain when it does. Just need to try and keep it tidy for the next couple of months until the new motor is ready.

Damn! Forgot to add the tax as well!
So for the tyres I decided to try something new and went for Kuhmos. They worked out £300 cheaper than the Conti 5P's that I have put on in the past, but though being very skeptical to start with I have to say I am very very impressed with them. Wouldn't hesitate (and have been) suggesting them to anyone looking for a cheaper alternative to one of the big 3 brands.
So they came in at £470 for a full set.
The other servicing and brake work came in at a touch over £500. So overall very happy keeping the whole lot under a grand.

With regards to the tyres, i have fitted them to my E350, and i will never be fitting them again. the car now tracks all over the place, especially under braking, the amount of grip you get compared to a quality tyre in very poor. its true what they say - you get what you pay for. only my opinion, but thank god they will need replacing this month!!So for the tyres I decided to try something new and went for Kuhmos. Not suffering any of that at all. Which Kuhmo did you have fitted? I am amazed by how much grip these have, loads of steering feel, and sharp turn-in. They feel like they have slightly stiffer sidewall construction, but that's about the only negative I can come up with.Gassing Station | Mercedes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
