Just booked my car in for the expected A service at 24k miles at official dealer. Told would be £349 for A service but car would also need transmission service (ie gearbix oil change, new filters, differential oil and filters). This is done due to mileage and is apparently a one-off and it costs £470 !!!! I am surprised the 'running in' oils last this long? Has anyone else been told this? What is normal mileage this is due? I only got the car in July 2912 and it had done 18k miles at the time. This seems a lot - is this usual??
Thanks for info/advice.

Thanks for that! Unfortunately still doesn't come up with anything about transmission service. On a quick google search it seems owners in USA talk about 40-50k miles. I won't have car for that long as lease will finish about 38k miles so don't want to pay for something that I don't need.

I had this on my C63.
It's supposed to be at 31,000 miles or 3 years.
