C 63 warranty options
Discussion
Picking up my new (used) C63 up end of next week - its a 10 plate and a 3year agility plan
Obvioulsy there is one year mercedes warranty after the end of the new car' warranty
then I could either have a continuation of the mercedes warrant for the time of the agreement £££££
or I could have a dealership warrant (this is the Lister chain - anybody experience with their warranty) ££££ - I am not close to a lister dealership, though but they say I could go to any mercedes workshop - is this true? ££££
or could go to the AA or WMS or a similar insurance company £££
or I could just see what happens (free but may be ££££££££££££££)
Any suggestions from my fellow AMG PHs, as I would need to decide on the mercedes or listers deal before I pick it up...

Why do you need to decide before you pick it up?
You would just purchase the warranty of you choice as and when your existing cover expires. You don't purchase it in advance.
Mercedes warranty isn't actually Mercedes underwritten anymore. It is actually underwritten by someone like Allianz or similar and you purchase it off them, not Mercedes or the dealer. If my quote is anything to go by on my '10 plate C63 it will be around £1400 for a years cover as long as you are under 60k miles on the car at the time.

thanks this is interesting - I was told by the dealership I need to buy within a certain period after they had the car in the workshop, otherwise I need a new multipoint check and everything fixin which would be covered under warranty....You would just purchase the warranty of you choice as and when your existing cover expires. So this means i can defer until the end of the year? Sounds good to me
