Advice from ml owners

Hi guys I've found an ml 320 with 105,000 on it. It's an 06 model and is well specked and is in silver. I'm trading a2008 Audi a4 for 11,100 as I was trying to sell privately for 11,400 although it was more hassle than its worth. The car has a fsh and the dealer is offering a 3 month warranty and is servicing the car on Monday before I collect it. I test drove the ml and really liked the way that it drives. Insurance is the same as the a4 and I do roughly about 200 miles per week! I have also test drove a bmw 535d and 530d and a land rover discovery. The dealer is looking 12500for the car against the 11,100 that I'm getting for an a4. We ve two kids and one on the way so I'm convinced myself I need a jeep rather an mpv? Can anyone over any advice to convincer the ml is the way to go??

Go on to somewhere like mbclub.co.uk and familiarise yourself with the possible issues this engine and gearbox can have. Engine/gearbox - OM642/7G.

Check that the turbo intake oil seal and breather oil seal have been done at some point, easy to do and saves a lot of expense as oil can get out and disrupt the operation of the Inlet Port Shut Off Motor which sits directly below. Also check for an auto fluid change @50k intervals (2 in that cars case).
