Main dealers,radio code.

Having had to have some welding done on my car over the weekend the battery was disconected.I thought I had the radio code in the manual but some how it had been miss laid.I went to a main merc dealer in stratford east london and politely ask the storeman if he could get me the code.I had showed him my service book with all the cars details.He said in an arrogant voice it,ll cost ya £20 quid so I said ok.His partner then snapped £28 and I want your log book,passport,licence,utility bill etc before i,ll give it to you.I left and went to lakeside mercedes in thurrock essex,I was greated with a "hello sir how can I help".I ask the storeman if he could give me the radio code,certainly sir and within 2 minutes I had the code free of charge.The diffence between the two dealers was one could,nt be bothered and one that wanted to help.Well done lakeside Mercedes.
