What does everyone think? I'm not entirely sold on the exterior, but the interior looks incredible (apart from the slightly odd steering wheel).

Best looking S Class since the W126 as far as I'm concerned. I really like it.
Roll on 2023 when early leggy examples fall into my price range smile

Apart from the front end (grille too big, lights too fancy, gaping holes too aggressive) and much as I hate to say it, it looks great, especially the rear three quarter. It has a little of the Rolls Royce Silver Seraph, no?

Like the choice of song... I wonder how many S-Class drivers will be playing California Gurls over the HK system? I agree on the steering wheel, looks like a clown face. Other than that, noice.

That is a bold choice of steering wheel, but I suppose if you're buying one of these new you'd probably be driven rather than the driver.

I think it looks absolutely fantastic. Inside and out.
Will wait a couple of years to pick one up, when the initial stage of depreciation has taken effect.

Until then my W221 LWB will do nicely...

So the new E, the C and the new A class has similair star grill, getting rid of the bonnet star, but the new S has kept the slatted grill and bonnet star?

confused

Very happy that Mercedes UK won't be selling the 4-cylinder version here smile

You can still spec the C and E with a "traditional" grill and bonnet star, the A Class has never had one anyway.

"officially" only available in foreign markets, but if you want it bad enough, you can.

I really like this.

I pilot a W221 S class from time to time, this is way nicer inside.

Can't help but feel a Range Rover V8 diesel autobiography would be the better bet if you're not interested in being chauffeured

Why? Worse economy, poorer performance worse handling (more roll and pitch etc for passangers so less comfortable and pleasant to drive)

I love it and I've owned two, it will be very hard to resist this new one. Looks fab in black with those turbine style wheels too. Oh and btw, this driver plays a bit of the beach boys through the stereo on my W221!!! wink

The S Class wont get the Star in the Grill due to Distronic Plus.
