Looks good, but I think you should have got the Merc Roof Box major uber cool ;-)
Also I think the back cross bar should be in-front of the rear roof bar connector (as shown in Merc catalogue). Also watch you can raise the boot door because my box had to be moved more forward as recommended by Mercedes.

Looks very smart OP.
I had the whispbar set up with the flush bars that made the box sit low to the roof and thought it looked pretty good. Bars were silent when the box was not on so I left them on permanently.
Box is the XL Genuine Mercedes one. They appear to be manufactured by Kamei and so are good quality. A bit cheeky I know but I am about to put the bars and box up for sale for £275 (cost in excess of £600) as my current E Class has a Pan roof so needs different bars and I need a smaller box as I want to carry one or two bikes too. Will suit C or E class with roof rails and no Pan roof!

The box is located so that here is an inch clearance for the boot to open. It already slightly overhangs the windscreen so can't come forward. Fingers crossed it'll be OK as all loaded up now, in any case there is no great weight in it. I might have to look at the new E63 estate, this is a bit of a tight squeeze......

Your box sits nice and low, it's the only thing with my thule set up I am not happy about. They have just launched a new wingbar one piece set up but was a bit pricey. However, as with yours the sound with just bars is non existent.I had the whispbar set up with the flush bars that made the box sit low to the roof and thought it looked pretty good. About speed in France, try to keep it under 160 kph, as if caught above the fine is 800 euro and withdrawal of your license for 4 weeks...
Thanks for that advice - back in the UK now but was done by a mobile radar by the gendarme with 4 km/h to spare

The roads are just sooooo tempting though, had to rein myself in after that little incident! Roof box held up well though, even averaged 20.3 mpg on the 300 mile trek back to the ferry today averaging 65 mph.

Very nice looking bar and box combo. I had the whispbar set up with the flush bars that made the box sit low to the roof and thought it looked pretty good. Bars were silent when the box was not on so I left them on permanently.

I've got a 2013 E-Class Estate face-lift arriving in two weeks time, and today made a good deal for an MB roof box L (330 litres) so the slightly smaller version of yours (smaller in width, same length I believe). I also bought the flush S45 whispbars as they had the best reviews (plus a friend has them and likes them).
My question is; what adapter did you use to fit the MB box to the bars? As I need to order one sharpish...
Also is there enough clearance between the roof and the box? (or it is tight?) plus the back of the box and the GPS antennae?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Phil.
