SLK320 question

Family member looking to sell his 2001 SLK320 which he has had since it was a couple of years old. Although it is an original car in a nice colour scheme, silver with the red/black (designo?) interior, it has the period issue of wheel arches having rust on the inside lip. Couple of other spots too on the bonnet from stone chips so that would need doing.

Question to the Mercedes fraternity is, would it be better to sell a car like this as it is, so someone can see it for themselves and fix it (or not), or spend the money on fixing the bodywork and sell it for a higher price as a mint car?

Everything on it works fine, drives well, only done 49k. How is the market in general for these as the prices seem all over the place, anything between 3k and 7k. Wouldn't want to spend 1.5k on it only to be able to get 4.5k anyway, 6.5k though......

Why not get a quote from an authorised M-B repair shop? If the paintwork is sorted and you give the car a professional valeting, it will add a lot to the bargaining power. Low mileage is good, as is a nice interior.
