Hi, folks

Does anyone know how to check the model of the in-car entertainment system model? The thing is that it is missing the DVD's for the Sat-Nav. Is it worth buying the DVD's? The vehicle is MY '08.

Cheers

Pop up the reg or chassis and I'll have a look at it for you.

I don't think it has a hard disk as when sat-nav button is pressed it is asking for the DVDs that should be in the boot...nor did I see the changer in the boot, but wasn't looking properly...

The DVD drive is in the boot, left hand side, behind a small cover plate, on the CLS with the earlier Command- mine is an 06 model. We've got an 09 E Class with the later Command- we bought it second-hand, but the handbook gives instructions for loading updates via the drive in the dash- not sure if it comes pre-loaded or is first time installed from the dash as there was no DVD disc with the car when we bought it.

I think the boot mounted drive means you have the early type.

It is Command DVD APS with Navigation... (It is probably a NTG1)

Cheers.
