E220 cdi fault advice please

hi i have a 2004 e220 cdi turbo diesel which drives fine but then when warm suddenly looses power seems like the turbo stops working and stays like this however if i switch the engine of and straight back on its fine again for a couple of minutes then goes again anyone had similar issue any advice would be very gratefull thanks sean.

I know this is a common fault on a Mondeo as its just happened to my Dads car. Same symptons so could be the same issue.

Faulty electronic actuator on the turbo and / or sticking turbo vanes due to turbo being coked up.

It may be going into limp mode.

Might be a failty MAF sensor.
