2001 230 CLK Cab - Jammed seat and hood question
Discussion
We have a 2001 CLK cab that has not been used much in the last year or so and it went in the garage today for MOT and service etc as my wife is going to be using the car a bit for work. It passed the MOT (just, by the sounds of it) with a few advises. the main thing that the garage could not sort was the drivers seat wont adjust and there does not seem to be any manual over ride - Any Ideas and the rear catch on the hood does not release, mostly it seems that because the car has sat around 'things' seem to have seized up, the little garage that had the car was very straight with me and said he did not want to start taking the car apart when there could be an easier way to do things, he had not worked on one before.
Any ideas people or can you recommend anyone close to Crawley that knows about these things - NOT main dealer?

We have a similar problem with the passenger seat in our SLK. I'm lead to believe they use the same seats and it can be a fairly common issue. The wires in the base of the seat stretch over time, causing them to fail.
Let us know if this is the case on your car. Our seat has been stuck for 12 months now because I can't access to get it off the rails, or even get behind it.
