Just a quick vid to share a recent Race Start and tunnel run, as filmed by the good Wife. 1080p and speakers / headphones turned up loud recommended.

@TEX - I'm trying to remember how much more powerful my car was than yours? Wasn't it 1 or maybe 2 bhp? wink

Does C63 have launch control?

Also, do you find it losses traction alot. I'm very keen on one of these, but concerned that booting it around without the TC on will result in UN-intentional power slides and worn rear tyres.

Yes the mct fitted cars have race start.

I think Clarkson has a lot to answer for for people thinking these are wildly uncontrollable (not a dig at your question) they genuinely respond to your right foot and can be driven very much on the limit without going over the edge..just take a bit of practice.. :-)

Hiya Aquanaut.

Yeah I've gone off the 'other' forum a bit. Too much sniping and general idiocy. Bit annoying as I did those extensive monthly running reports with the aim of answering questions many people have regarding C63 AMGs, but didn't get much of a response. So I just thought fk it.

Anyway, how's you and your C63?

Yeah, he described it as an 'axe murderer with headlights' if I remember correctly - sheesh!

Yes, and that's a good thing. It's a pity more modern cars don't have such power/torque to tyre width ratios. It's great!

This^^^^^ I would conclude the C63 seems a little like the black sheep of the family on there..

Just before I picked my car up I shown that episode to the wife. She was not overly happy with the prospect of what I'd bought.

Lol, something like that...

I met a friend of yours at vmax black the other week, sorry I'm rubbish at names but it was the guy who was at the RR day with you...

Yes he told me. Said you were in a Porsche. He's a PH'er too and has actually just purchased a new car himself: E60 M5, so we're both in the >500bhp club smilel

Anyway hope you're keeping we and still enjoying your C63.

Yep, still enjoying c63 ownership, got it up to 34k miles and it still makes me smile. The Porsche is my new toy - a GT3, great on track. It wasn't ideal for vmax. Did our cars get de-limited when they were mapped? You still happy with yours?
