So short story, totally irrelevant but went to auctions, picked W203 C200K Sport Coupe in that SO shiny black Merc is good at. Not the ultimate Mercedes I'm well aware but feeling chuffed and think I've got meself a bargain...we'll see...
Anyway Headlights have done that frosted/faded thing on the outside. What have others used to revamp the glass please folks?
I've heard toothpaste works - should I use Eucryl, Gibbs SR, or Tescos Toofeewhite.....? ;-)

I cleaned up the headlights on my old Skyline a couple of years ago and was very happy with the results:

(Lifted from another forum)

I started with 800 wet and dry and very carefully worked away at the laquer. Once most of it was off I used 1500 wet and dry and continued. By then the light looked a little worse for wear!

Then (very carefully) I used a rubbing compound to remove the tiny scratches and any haze, I made sure plenty of water was used. The light was clearing up nicely by this point.

One side almost there:

Then I cleaned it up using a decent cloth, lots of soapy water and alot of pressure. I have to say, after doing both I'm pretty pleased with the result:
