Thinking of buying a C63 PPP

Hi,

I'm thinking of buying a C63 PPP at the weekend. Is there anything I should know about before I do?

Its a 2011 car from a main dealer so it will come with a warranty but are there any bits I should check for that I might have to pay out considerable amounts of money on?

Nope! Just tyres, fuel and insurance. They are pretty bombproof it has to be said. The engine issues were 08 and 58 cars as far as i know.

Is yours a PPP? Is it worth the extra cash?

Yeah. Mine is a 2010 PPP (pre-MCT box) but will be essentially the same bar a few updates. It is defo worth the cash as when it comes to resale it'll be the option to have. There will be loads of non-PPP cars for sale in a year or so thanks to cheap leasing so options will matter. If your PPP has the LSD specced then great. If not, dont worry about it, its not life changing.

Ive just had a Quaife LSD fitted to my PPP as it came without the OEM LSD option ticked. Its an improvement, but its not an essential. PPP is defo quicker than the standard C63.

That's pretty much what I figured. Looking through the classifieds the PPP cars all seem to be the ones selling.

You're not wrong about cheap leasing deals either. I have seen a brand new C63 available on a £518/month lease with less than £4k down. That's going to screw second hand prices in the next two years isn't it...

Nice car but missing a vital option - comand, this will make the car much much harder to resell, it is very very rare to see a c63 without comand.

No mention of harman kardon audio, dab tuner etc and check the lsd had the initial oil change at approx 1800 miles and when last serviced, if it is due one within three months the dealer will have to carry it out foc.

Check all tyres and insist on fresh rubber if near the 3mm mark.

Do you know, I just assumed it would have COMAND and never even bothered checking. That's enough to put me off.

Eddie won't like it and I'm not sure if its got the LSD. The dealer doesn't appear to know much about the car.

Truly is a buyers market when looking at c63s. Just make sure you get exactly the spec you want, if not just wait until you find it......because it will turn up!

Nice but more expensive than a facelift c63 which have a superior gearbox and interior.

+1 on everything said above. PPP is the most desirable option and is worth having. HK audio is great, LSD is great but not a deal breaker. Try to stretch to a facelift version if you can (MCT gearbox). Didn't realise you could get C63s without COMAND?!

More or less the same as the one I just bought and roughly what I paid. I struggled to find a decent spec facelift for anything under £42k or so and white cars are definitely faster than any other colour!! I dont like the exterioe of the facelift as much but the interior is much nicer!!

HK sound is no where near as good as I expected and tbh I discounted a couple of cars because it didn't have it, wish I hadn't now.......

Does anyone know how you can tell if you have a PP or a PPP?
