Any Mercedes days in Scotland????????????
Discussion
Listen guys, I let my membership of the official MB club lapse for one reason only. The Scottish branch is so small it's almost non-existent.
Does anyone fancy starting a proper Scottish Mercedes owners club; independent of course so we can organise our own gigs, etc?
There are thousands of nice Mercs in Scotland and I think it would do well.
Any ideas?
By the way, the Selkirk Rally is on this year and promises to be very good. Always plent of Mercs there, including myself.

Sounds like an absolutley great idea.
I had dragged, sorry driven the family up to a Classic Car Show just north of Perth, can't remember the name of it but was a big show, and the Mercedes owner club was there, they had literally 4 cars at the whole show, surely we could arrange something a little more special than that.
Please let me know what you're thinking with regards to a club.

yes iVe just been hunting high and low for events to go to.
one of the few things on this month is a mid week drive to Loch lomond one night.
there is very few events on. the w124 day in lake district is about the closest decent sized event that is left this year.
given how many more mercedes are around than porkers and ferraris its unreal that the social scene is so dire...

any event somewhere near glasgow or edinburgh should get the mex amount of people. i rememeber the doune classic car event and that was a great event years ago. or what about Loch Lomond?
someone needs to post on the merc forum a plan to hold an event and see how many scots are on it. Failing that ask Caroline McNoughton on the merc club, what other events the club can attend. I cant beleive at some of these shows that the organisers wouldnt be delighted if there was a 30+ merc contingent as its more for joe punter to look round and enjoy.
