I am considering swapping my XKR for a C63 AMG coupe. Having read loads of info on here I called Freedom Contracts who have offered £3438 + £573pm inc fees and first years road tax for 24 month, 10k miles which seems a very good deal (unless you know a better one...) Wondering which options to select:

19" black wheels extra £54pm or £1300
19" silver wheels £26pm or £633
HK £21pm or £500
PP £36pm or £870

Any other options that are worthwhile - and what do you think of those above? They couldn't give me a price for the LSD, but I'm wondering whether the £1600 Quaife option would be better anyway and sell it on after the lease ends?

Yeah, you could have the quaife removed at the end of the contract and the oem diff put back. Having just got home from an awesome drive home i can defo say that the quaife was a great idea.

Not sure about the legalities of changing the mechanical bits on a lease car which essentially is not yours and would probably invalidate any warranty. Can only see it ending in tears. They try and screw you if you kerb the alloys or have any door dents!

Is the 'PP' the performance pack? If so at £36 per month it seems like an incredible bargain!

Chris I can match the Freedom quote - may even be able to shave a couple of £ off. Would be good to supply a car to another fellow south coast PH'er.

Drop me a pm if I can help.

If PP is p31 package then no brainier... It's a £5k option

HK - yes

Diff - yes but how you do it is personal taste.. OEM or aftermarket..

Yes, I've heard some horror stories and have never leased a car before, but I tend to keep mine mint so don't anticipate a problem... Me, change a diff and not tell them? Never laugh

Yes, allegedly but I'm not sure it is correct as the cost of each option is roughly divided by 24 apparently (ie you pay the total cost of the option over the term of your lease) Having said that, Freedom did say that they do get some deals on some packages and this may be one.

My friend has recently placed an order with a south coast Mercedes dealership for a Red C63 Coupe - Delayed order till March 1st for the '14 plate and that works out to be £530 PCM with the options of, piano black trim, privacy glass and black wheels.

I'm sure matc can get you a good deal also as he sorted my dad out with a good E class deal!

I really don't think Merecedes would ever find out, I'd swap it back before giving the car back, sell it on and recoup half my cash smile May well do the same with 19" wheels - although I might have to put a bit of wear on the 18s before the car goes back, a quick slalom should sort it:

I finally got around to test driving a C63 AMG today and it did live up to expectation - albeit I had to be tame for the sake of the salesman in the passenger seat. Entertainingly we ran out of petrol as we pulled into the dealer's car park - glad it didn't happen on the M27...

Just had a look on the latest e-brochure and it doesn't seem the performance pack is available anymore!

Does anyone know if this is correct?

Think the performance pack has been replaced by the edition507 but there may be a few cars left out there unsold?

I can confirm performance pack is no longer available to order and I haven't been offered any new cars fitted with it frown

Great news! I've just agreed to get a dark blue C63 AMG coupe through matc. He has managed to put together a fantastic deal and has substantially undercut even Freedom Contracts. Although Freedom were perfectly good to deal with it is much better dealing with Mercedes directly and I am delighted with the package Matt has put together.

Thanks for all the advice above, looking forward to 30th September driving

Great news Chris, we now need a C63 hoon, I think there are a few of us down here. Perhaps by way of Hindhead tunnel? Think of the noise?
