Reactions to the C63
Discussion
One week in to C63 ownership, and one thing's obvious, and very much of a surprise, and that's that it gets an awful lot more attention than the 911 GTS Cabriolet ever did.
I've never before had so many people stopping to stare, and today came back to find someone stopped taking a photograph of it, and pointing bits out on the picture to his girlfriend after.
I didn't really care what people thought of the car before I bought it, it it turns out to be quite nice to know that passers-by are getting some enjoyment from it too.

I absolutely love em, look amazing and sound better. Chap passed me in a ML63 (?) today and even though it's a bit of a brute it's still mighty impressive. Saw the chap in a shop shortly after and got chatting to him, turns out it's now 5 litre ish with twin turbo's ... Didn't realize the 6.3 had been dropped

Did you change the GTS for the c class?
System ate my reply again...Yes, I realised that I was never going to click with the GTS, so after a year and a bit's ownership sold it on, and bought the new car instead. I prever the Merc, and it also let me take out £20k and put it in the bank for a rainy day.
I've recently bought a second hand C63 estate which I've just started using daily (wasn't supposed to be using it until company car went back but that's broken down ;-) )and yes, I am quietly happy with the reaction. Petrol stations, car parks, basically anywhere you start it up seems to illicit some sharp look rounds and gentle nods of appreciation. I've also noticed that when coming up beyond a car in an overtaking lane, cars more often than not move out the way without any pressure even if I'm not "pushing on". Again, I thought people would assume it was a standard C class especially from the front but clearly there's something about it that gets attention.
BTW, am loving the car. Very nice to drive in every type of condition so far and very comfortable with a nice range of toys. Amazing sound and my only complaint is that the sound proofing is a little too efficient as the engine seems too refined at times unless unleashing the horses - then I just giggle!
