My new A class AMG sport
Discussion
Mine isn't the a45 (I wish) but the A180 AMG sport
But yes it has the AMG suspension/wheels etc, the ride is certainly firm, but feels very solid and doesn't rattle the bones or top/bottom out etc. It's a kinda firm sprung ride.
I've always had sporty cars/low profile tyres etc so I'm used to it and like it.

'love yours, on a separate note i have so much want for the A45...'
i think Merc have nailed this new A-Class, it's beautiful from every angle and the figures really stack up.
Top job
- did you manage to get much discount from the dealer?Looks great and the interiors on these are really nice, a shame they plonked that hideous screen in the middle of the dash but I'm sure I'd get used to it.
You'll have to keep us posted on how you get on with it, these might turn into a good 2nd hand choice for me in a couple of years.

its such a shame about that screen. I love these cars, i have one on the next car radar (6 months ish) so much want it hurts but i know the first thing people will say is 'urgh i don't like that screen'
Its not nearly enough to put me off the car but to me its perfect in every other way it seems odd that anyone in the design team and the person that signed it off thought 'yeh, that looks good there'
It will always distract people from the fact that it is, almost, all things to all people.

It does look like an afterthought. Maybe MB offer it in some territories without the screen (as a lower spec car) so instead of having a different dash design with and without the screen, they just bolted it on. On my C63 the screen is motorised and comes out of the dash - at the very least they could have done that...
PS no offence intended, OP - it's a great all rounder!

OP, been in to look at these today and struggling for which engine to go for. Definitely want a diesel but worried that the one you have may be a tad sluggish. Can you confirm what it is like?
So I've got the 180 (as I'm sure you know) and it's by no means "fast" but providing your in the right gear at the right time I've never thought it too slow either. Can overtake in country lanes fine and happily cruises at 85 on the private test track I used.
I was considering the 180/200/220 and just ended up the with the 180 because it was the right spec at the right price at the time.

Thanks for the quick reply. Anything you would advise going for or not going for? Looking at a 200 just now on PCH @ £288 a month. Seems like a good car for the money. Unsure on options that are worthwhile or not though. Handling quite good as well? Can overtake in country lanes fine and happily cruises at 85 on the private test track I used.
