I bought an SLK AMG55 Kleemann about 6 months back from a friend of a friend who is a car dealer. He was nivce too but it isn't him I want to praise.

The car developed a fault and the local Merc specialist had a go at fixing it, it worked for a while and then failed again in exactly the same way.

I sent and email direct to Kleemann in Denmark and to Steen Greve at STG Performance who are the UK distributor explaining the symptoms and wondering if they had any advice.

That email was sent this afternoon at 2:09 pm. By 3pm Steen Greve had rung me with to get more details and by 3:30pm he had been in touch with the Tech Director of Kleemann and had a suggested solution and even the probable part number.

Remember - I did not buy the car from Steen Greve or directly from Kleemann. It is 2007 so way out of warranty. I had used my local specialist to attempt the repairs. The speed of response and level of helpfulness stunned me.

I shall be raising a glass to Steen and Kleemann this evening and maybe even more if it does prove to fix the problem next week.

I upgraded my slk32 with steen a couple of years ago (adding the pulley mod and remap). I also had him fit an upgraded intercooler pump.
Without doubt one of the nicest, most honest guys you could meet
I plan to have the 55 upgraded in 2014 and will plan to call upon steen again
In a world of crap customer service steen really does go the extra mile
