My better half is self employed and is in need of a much bigger car. Her current car is a 05 Mini cooper. When loaded up her work gear fills the rear of the mini with the seats down and she still cant fit every thing in.
So it is obvious she needs some thing with much more space. She likes the ML and has driven one and likes them. The question is how bad is the MPG going to be?
The mini shows about 36/37 mpg on average. We don't mind lower MPG as long as it not silly low. Most of her driving is through streets and the odd A road. Mostly 30/40 speeds limits ect. Very little motorway.
So, what MPG could we expect?

I had a 58 plate 280 and got the same as above. A 320 will deliver about the same mpg but gives a bit more power.
I would recommend one, especially with winter coming. As long as your not doing high mileage, diesel costs aren't too high. Just remember that road tax is high!
Let me know if you have any other questions. More than happy to help if I can.
