Can anyone here help, I'm looking for a workshop manual or Exploded diagram for the heater blower. From Googling it looks like the resistor is the cause of the blower motor only working when on full. So before delving into the depths of the car Looking to see if the part is available, and where it is.

Thanks

Is this what you're looking for - looks like the only resistor I see is item 40, part A1698200397 - should be about £15.

Nah, I just have the workshop system to keep my own car on the road...it has some "indicative" prices in euros in it....obviously not that accurate biggrin

Hi guys. I have a W169 A180. My blower motor is not working. I have to remove it to check it. Can anyone tell me where it is located. I suspect it is behind the pollen filter. Does anyone have information on how to remove it perhaps. Hope it is not toot difficult. I cannot find any information about this (W169) on the web. The summer in South Africa is really picking up now so I guess it is time to get my aircon working again smile Thank you.

Bit of a thread resurrection......

We have a W169 A class that I do all the maintainance on. Due to the weird layout of the engine, there are a few jobs I want to do but I'm unsure of the correct method. Could you tell me how to get access to the workshop system you mention, it would probably help me out a lot.

We've had ours years, 75,000 miles and no serious issues really, and it gets proper abuse, bouncing up a farm track twice a day. Granted it's a terrible handling thing, but it's been robust so far, and for the size I can't imagine anything more practical. It's like the Tardis.

I'll have a look on Ebay, but I've seen those WIS things before. I only have an old Mac at Ho,e which they don't work on, use iPad for everything these days. I was hoping I could get so,etching web based or on PDF.
