The Mrs has a clc200cdi, which wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding, along with this the fuel consumption is poor.

What's peoples opinion on these performance chips, as the figures look really impressive?

Sorry, don't have chipped car. But when I was looking at a c220 diesel, the MB sales team told me how great they are. Said it added more power. But never tested it.

Think they cost about £1k.

Apologies for not being more help.

You may want to get the CLC looked at first fot it should not be that slow, My 08 W204 C200 cdi is anything but slow plus it a pre Blue IFFy .
Just looked at the Btrip which has not been changed since i got the car 30 months ago and it reads 29500 at 43mpg and a ave speed of 42mph, The car has now covered 79k.
The only gripe i have is the bottom 2 ratios are a bit low in the auto box but on the plus side the other ratios are great when you want to get a move on.
I never keep a car more than a year of a norm but to still have this shows how impressed i am.
On my normal trip to the ferry at Stranrae the ave speed is no slower than my Boxster S did plus no stopping for fuel.

The mrs' car is averaging 33mpg, at an average 26mph, I would of expected the car to return more that this!

By chipping are you referring to plugin box or a proper remap? The diesel Mercs respond well to a remap and can transform the feel of the car..

Our diesel demo car has more torque than my tuned c63 now.. Lol
