Mercedes warranty

Hi all

Does anyone know if you can purchase the Mercedes dealer warranty for your car if you've bought the car privatelyand not by the dealer?

Or can you only get the Mercedes use car warrrant if you buy from them

Doesn't matter where you buy the vehicle from, you can still purcahse Merc warranty, but once you do you need to have it serviced at Merc Garage from that point on wards. (until warranty runs out)

does the car not have to undergo an inspection by a MB dealership first and have any faults fixed at owners expense before they will offer to extend the warranty on it ?

I wouldn't bother, it is crap, I am amazed at how much is turned down and that is from people who have bought an approved used Mercedes.

It is just another insurance policy the same as warranty direct etc. but doesn't include wear and tear.

No. I had one on my last car, nothing like that required.

If your extending a warranty on a car already in warranty no just pay your money and carry on..

I would think if your not in a warranty scheme already you would need an inspection and make the car up to the required level.
