1998 320 SL Door Mounted Seat Switches

Hi All. Just some general info' on access to the door mounted seat adjust switches. Does the door card have to be removed to replace the light bulb which illuminates the switches? If so are there any points to watch for, ie side air bags etc. Thanks for any replies. J C.
