Hi everyone,

I've recently acquired an R107 (380), which is going to need a little work to bring it up to scratch. I've had a look in the sticky thread, but there don't seem to be any specialists in SE London or surrounding area. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Recently used these people in West Kingsdown (near Brands Hatch) - very impressed.

i take ours to the SLShop...not next door, but what an outlet, and they do know their R107 !

Also because of their location, you get to take your R107 on all type of roads to get there: dual carriageway, country lanes...and it's easy to spot faults prior to servicing that way.

I have also used the SL Shop and have to say they are very impressive, well worth the extra drive.

Thanks both. The SL shop isn't really practical for me, although they do sound great, as that would mean a 3hr drive with steering I would be generous describe as 'vague'!

VAGUE? You should have seen my face when i took delivery of our SL the first time (bought it for my wife), and hitting the highway to take it back to London...VAGUE you say? I'm coming from 911s ahahahahah.

Even our FFRR at the time felt rock solid compare to the SL.

Forward 4 years, the FFRR has gone (we got a Classic one instead), 911s and ferraris have come and gone...but the SL is still there and will never be sold: it's a keeper.

You will get used to it - nowadays i jump from the 964RS (without power steering) to the SL without even noticing the VAGUE anymore. And it gets used, in average 5,000 miles a year of downtown traffic and highway long trips.

Enjoy it, the SL is a beautiful old lady.
