Great cars.
Just changed my 2010 E63 (6.2 n/a) for a brand new 2013 E62 (5.5 TT).
You cant go wrong really if you buy from a dealer as i think warranty essential with that type of car. 30k or 3 year service includes the diff oil change (an extra £500) so that service costs nearly £1000. Also brakes expensice so if you buying a 2010 with 30k+ miles check had the diff service and has good tyres and brakes.
Worth getting a panoramic roof as adds to resale as was standard from 2011 I think.
The performance pack (alcantara steering wheel etc) nice but not essential. Media pack with iphone connection good (may be standard on 2010).
Mine was lovely car in great condition. I part-ex'd at Solihull.
let me know if need any more info. I did 16k miles with not a problem.

Do!! Make sure you check it over properly, I bought mine from a main Mercedes dealer only to find out that it had been involved in a heavy rear end smash that wasn't on the HPI.
I wouldn't get one without the Performance Pack (unless you like spinning the inside rear wheel), try and get a W212 as it handles much micer then the W211 plus it has the MCT gearbox which is nicer then having the torque converter.
Best car I've ever driven

I'd suggest the value will drop like a stone (relatively speaking) even after only 6 months, and it will only appeal to a very limited market, so may be a mare to shift on.
Best 6 months motoring you'll have though.
The one at MB Salisbury (though a wagon - even better) would be worth a punt - it's been up for some time now.

Why do you think that? Not that I disagree I have been Loosely watching prices for the past 3 months and I haven't noticed a considerable shift?Best 6 months motoring you'll have though.

What I'm suggesting is what a buyer buys at will be significantly different to what he'll be offered for it in 6 months, particularly if measured in % loss terms.
I can hear the sharp intake of dealer breath now - "well Sir, it's a high tax, high consumption, high running cost big petrol that nobody wants anymore"
Private purchase, private resale may be different though, if the seller can find an enthusiast.
Albeit with the initial new car depreciation, mine dropped £60K in three years
