I bought some new tyres today that arrive tomorrow. As a result I've decided to have the OEM wheels refurbished and powder coated by my local very highly regarded alloy wheel specialist. Trouble is I can't pick a colour to change to. Any suggestions?

Curently I'm thinking about the usual gunmetal colouration but I had that on my M5 and change is always good.

Has a carbon lip and carbon rear diffuser fitted so needs to tie in with that if possible

I would go with matt black spokes and have the rim polished up, would look good against the red.

Not C63 wheels, but I've got the matte black with silver lip finish on mine. I think they look pretty good.

Yeah, looks smart actually. Might be the way to go.

On a weird note somebody on fb suggested matt black with a yellow edge. Go or no-go?

"somebody on fb"

De-friend them!biggrin

Matt black or matt black with a silver rim is the only way to go. Perhaps get someone to photoshop some images for you before you choose?

I think it may be a done deal on the matte black. Just need to decide between polished rim or not, as has been said above. Anyone good with photoshop?

Looking at the black series i think keeping the centre caps silver is the way forward.

Well, at the least it'll be easier to keep the wheels looking clean. Looks good.

I was and still am contemplating a gunmetal / anthracite finish with the polished edge. Might be nice to be a little different to the norm. Decisions!

Matte black i think is the final decision. Decided against the polished rim as it looks too close to the OEM wheels on the FL C63, that and i feel the polished rim makes the 19" wheels look smaller than they are. Matte black should stand out well against the red car too.

Pics tomorrow!

Hope you're happy with the result whatever you choose; however, being honest I think your car looks great as it is and personally I'd stick with the existing combination!

^^ Appreciate your thoughts there. I really like the current colour too, but given some new tyres are going on and that i get a good discount from my local refurb shop i thought id try a different colour for a while. If i dont like it when the next set of tyres are needed i can always change back to OEM. Thanks again.

Well the wheels are currently being powder coated. Should pick up tonight all being well. For those of you who are interested, the colour isn't going to be black! It's not even a colour i'd considered before............. lol

I'm slightly nervous but am assured they will loom great. And if im not happy he'll recolour them without issue.
