W208 - 230k vs. 320?

Hi folks.
Looking to pick up one of the above in coupe flavour in the coming few weeks as a motorway/London hack, aiming around the £2k mark. Stats suggest that there isn't much in it between the two, but I wanted to know if you had any pearls of wisdom to help me choose.

Are there any unreliability issues linked to either? Any fuel consumption horrors? Either notably better to drive? Does the spec tend to differ (anecdotally, I see fewer 230k ads with electric seats)?

More broadly, does anyone have a link to a real-world buying guide (i.e. not Parkers or HonestJohn), please?

Id go with the 320 personally with a car that old for 2 reasons 1. Superchargers are expensive to replace. 2. V6

Did they not make the w208 with a diesel engine?
