My 11 plate W204 (220 CDI) is due back to the leasing company at the end of June 2014.
The new C class is on the list of available vehicles but I'm unaware of any specific trim levels / engine options.
I've heard that the Exec SE / Sport will be available alongside the current engine options (diesel only for me though).
The question is, will a 220 CDI Exec SE W205 be similar to one of the current model range or do I need to consider adding Comand or will Map Pilot still be compatible across the models?

All thoughts / ideas / suggestions welcomed.

Cheers.

I think Comand may be standard as it is on the face lifted E Class.

Thanks for the response Gizlaroc.
I hope so.

An alternative maybe to just spec up from the current options and see what I get charged for come the actual spec list appearing.

The unfortunate thing is that the leasing company wants a 14-18 week lead time to satisfy the order, so almost a full five months between order and delivery and I bet you can't change any options once submitted.

Problem is, something like comand can make a huge difference with one hire company and virtually no difference with the next one. If it is a priced option of course.

I'd be surprised if COMAND is standard on the new C-Class as it would push the price up too much. Cars in this class don't normally get it included, and the immediate competition (3-series and A4) don't have it. I'd imagine some kind of preparation for Map Pilot as per the current C-Class will be included standard.

I think you're right, I read that Nav was going to be standard but in the press release it said 7" screen or 8.4" if COMAND Online is specced.
So maybe the Nav50 is standard?

Thanks Chaps.

I'd totally forgotten about that horrendous IPad type attachment screen that they are introducing. It might make sense going for the 'less is more' approach!

All cars get that monstrosity.

Wait 3 years for the facelift where it will be built into the dash again. wink

I see one engine option for the new C-Class is a 1.6d, MB are buying this engine in from Renault...thoughts on that?
