I've finally taken the plunge. After a year without owning a car and test driving pretty much everything I fancied owning, I've just put the deposit down on a C63. Spent an age looking for the right car and settled down to either a Jag XKR or C63 as the one thing I wanted was a big V8, noise and thunder before they go the way of the dinosaurs...lets face it the EU will ban them eventually and we'll all have to drive them around the lake district at night!
Went for Fire Opal, Black Interior, PPP, Diff, Carbon Pack...there were a couple of things that stood out on the test drive and really cemented my decision, the difference in performance and braking with the PPP and the gear change with the double clutch. Anyhow, fly to the US on business in a couple of hrs and then I'll be in a taxi straight from the airport next week to the dealers to pick her up. She needs a name though....any ideas?

A huge thank you to all the posters on PH, researching the forums has been a huge help (and rather enjoyable). Though the Mrs is happy I've finally bought something and thinks I'll leave the iPad alone now......hahahahahahaha, needs some tuning next surely!

And people questioned me when I bought a red C63. Now look at them all. Glorious! And the fastest colour too!

Still slower than white vans though.

Enjoy, looks great and must sound fantastic. From May last year I had been test driving all sorts but bottled it when it came to ordering a C63 Coupe, ended up going for the compromise of an E400 AMG Sport+ (due next week)......will be a 'proper' AMG next time!

I can definitely vouch for that, having just handed back a fiat panda in Barcelona after a weeks skiing in Andorra, my C63 on the way back from Gatwick felt positively sluggish !!!

So after 16 hrs on the road I picked up the C63 late afternoon. I've found a replacement for caffeine and booze, been out driving the back roads for a couple of hours and I'm wired!

I was thinking, fancy a day at North Weald on the car limits course? £220 per driver based on 4.

We might get 4 red C63's? Or perhaps open it to anycolour/car? We only need a maximum of 4, minimum of 2 (cost is then £440 each).

Interested?

Addendum, you can also book onto someone elses day and share the cost that way. I thought it might be a giggle for an all C63 event though.

They do an activity day where you there and shred tyres, but the training day seems more structured.

Let's get those 2 hiccups 😉 out of the way. The ankle biter is due soonish, right? May time?

Sprog due first week of may. Surgery due as soon as the little one is settled. Might have more chemo post surgery but should have a few weeks recovery to get through first. Possible window in that recovery phase.
