W208 niggle - gear selector switch?

Morning Merc beards,

Minor irritation on my CLK, I noticed my reverse lights weren't working recently which I believe is related to a microswitch inside the gear selector. What other functions does this switch drive?

My OCD won't allow me to leave this, so I was wondering how simple a job to strip down and find the switch to swap it out? I fear a full new selector housing would be against my barging principles.

If you had an estate, you would find that the rear window doesn't get wiped, if you reverse with the windscreen wipers on. It's an easy enough fix and from memory is detailed on mbclub.co.uk. I fixed my 202 with a part from a 210, as they're interchangeable. Yours is as well I would bet.
