Is a c63 worth double the cost of a c55?

I drove a c63 last year when the lease deals were cheap but never ordered one, can't think why now. Anyhow, with crappy contract hire rates on them I noticed you can buy a C55 outright for about £10k. The c63 are still north of £25k at the moment.

Is there a big difference between the cars? And could the C55 be a keeper? I'd love hear comments and suggestions. Ta

Yes! I love my C63 more every day. The 'snap crackle and pop' that comes from the exhaust is worth the outlay alone. C55 is a lovely car by any standard, but choosing it over the C63 is like buying corned beef over prime fillet.

Why not a battered beefburger and get an E55 AMG for the same money - same engine + the supercharger = epic

+1 , I've recently picked up an E55k estate, shed load of options , blinding drive... Bargain of the century !.

C55 is a good all round car but the c63 is really a cut above. I place it higher than a v8 m3.

I had a C55 for 4 years before my C63 and it is a great car, very firm ride though. However its no comparison to the facelift C63. I get the same average mpg out of the 6.2 compared to the 5.4 thanks to the 7 speed gearbox etc. Also the exhaust and engine noise is far better. Always a bit disappointed with the C55 sound. Go for the 63!
