MB World Brooklands skid pan!

Yes, certainly real - our AMG driving experience was postponed two days before we were due to drive down to Brooklands because of this.

It isn't as bad as it seems though. Apparently the track area is designed to flood as part of the flood relief work that was a condition of the planning permission for Mercedes-Benz World. The main museum building is a lot higher than the track.

It is meant to help protect housing and the Brooklands Museum (although the latter got a little wet too).

Was this recent? I was down there a couple of weeks ago but didn't look out onto their track as I was just browsing the AMGs. I was thinking about getting a handling day booked so maybe not now!

Earlier in the year. We have since done our 4x4 and AMG experiences and everything was fine ....

Its supposed to pool up there. This was before Christmas, all OK.

I was there last week and all the track inc skid pan was dry (and in use)
