My dad and I were talking the other day about his old Merc. I said he was an idiot for getting rid of it and he said it was scrapped at 180k after the head gasket went. I did a car check and it seems to be still going strong. It's a long shot but does anyone know where it is?

What makes you sure it is still going strong? According to the DVLA, the date of liability was March 2006 suggesting it hasn't been on the road for 8 years. First registered in Swansea though.

Oh maybe I'm wrong. I used "mycarcheck" which I thought suggested it was still alive. Although it does appear to be sorn. Even 2006 is many years after it was scrapped...
I was hoping it was at 400k somewhere just waiting for the sunshine.
