Wife has just got a 2008 ML320, lovely car. Only thing is, the parking sensors (front and rear) don't seem very sensitive. You have to be basically almost on top of objects before they sound off. Is this adjustable in some way?

If they are factory fitted they should be picking up from about 3-4 feet away & the orange lights inn the display will come on, closer you get the more orange lights come on, at about 12" away the first red light will come on & only then will an intermittent beep start up, once you are about 4-6" away the second red light will come on & the beep will go constant.

Mine don't sound until you are very close but the display shows you exactly where you are with the LED's responding to left and right. Only get the sound when the lights go red.

Thanks for the responses. Didn't realise the lights were visual parking aids, I see how it works now. Does appear to be functioning normally. We're used to the system on my Jag which has more audio cues than the Merc Parktronic setup, just going to take some getting used to.

Thanks again.
