ML350 2010 Intermittent Clanking sound when turning slowly

Apologies if this has been discussed before. I searched some threads but none gave a solution yet.
My ML350 2010 edition makes an annoying clanking sound when turning at slow speed eg from the drive way, or when mounting the pavement. Took it to a Merc main dealer who spent a whole two hours (god knows doing what) only to tell me they couldn't identify the source of the sound. They said they need another 2 hours but with their labour charges, i declined. They've checked the anti rolls and rods and say they are ok. Has anybody ever had this issue and what was the cure?
