ML320 - W164 - "ABS, ESP inoperative" ?

Does anyone know what the fix is for this? The ML is under Mercedes warranty so I'm not worried but... I'd like to know what it could be before going in. I've Googled this and it apparently can be anything from a sensor to wiring or worse... so I've not really managed to narrow it down.

In case anyone else finds this thread... it was a faulty speed sensor. Such a small thing nearly caused a catastrophe for me when the car started braking by itself on a main road. The computer thought the car was in a spin / drift and started braking the other wheels accordingly. Mercedes have been great sorting it but never-the-less; it is not confidence inspiring...
