Mercedes 2007 E Class corrosion warranty

My cousin just bought a rather nice looking E280 sport the other week but the rear wheel arches are looking a little scabby around the door close areas.

The car has almost 80k miles but am I correct in thinking there is a 10year corrosion warranty on these cars?

Anyone had much success claiming of Mercedes corrosion warranty?

Any help appreciated so I can point him in the right direction.
