Considering a used CLS500
Discussion
Hi guys,
Though I've known about PH for at least the last decade, I've only just become a member... so after years of lurking, hello
I sold my HR 350Z GT a few months ago and now have the automobile itch, and considering a late-2007 CLS500 (388). Having never owned a Merc I am completely new to the manufacturer, does anyone have any advice / things to look out for? Going to have a look at it on Thursday.
Cheers!
Dave

Worthy choice. But go the extra and for an AMG 55 or 63. Otherwise, every time you see one, there'll be a pang of regret. A 55 might not cost more. I have a 63 but some consider the 55 to be better.
In the long term, an AMG will be a classic, depreciate slower and maybe even appreciate in value at some point. Only drawback is slightly greater thirst. Unless you do starship miles, the difference is insignificant.
In contrast, a 07 500, good car that it is, will just be an old car with a £490 road tax bill.
