W204 C-Class running costs

Been looking at a C180k/C200k for my wife now we don't need a hatchback for prams etc.
It will be a 2007/8 car with low/average miles.
What are these like with respect to running costs?
Tyres, mpg, tax etc all seem reasonable as do normal servicing costs as long as you don't use a main dealer but how expensive are they to repair of things go wrong?
