Our 11 plate pre-facelift has option 810 - Premium Sound System (which I presume is the HK) and option 537 - DAB Tuner

my 2013 C63 has DAB and HK sound. Both were separate options.

I had HK on my 2012 facelift estate. DAB was an option I had to pay for. I believe it was standard on the coupe.

According to the build sheet on ours, HK and dab were separate (and expensive) options

Ok thanks, thought as much. Dab is more important for me than hk. Search goes on smile

On the coupe as already mentioned DAB is included with HK.
I have found though the DAB to be nothing special, not much clearer than normal FM, it also drops out often and if you do a search on mbclub.co.uk I think there are a few posts where people have had problems with DAB but I don't know if these are isolated

For absolute radio you need dab plus it transforms 5 live and talk sport - no issues on my E500 cab it was much better than the crap dab on my XFR

I agree with jovie - I never use the DAB on my C class it has been utterly pointless, only managed to get about 4 radio stations and they are much worse quality than the normal FM version. Not a C63 I know, but it was around 400 quid optional extra on my S204 C350 estate and I have HK stereo.

Dab on motorways and major city's is fine - if your in little bollington or similar they haven't bothered yet.

DAB reception is ok where I am. DAB quality isn't brilliant but that's nothing to do with the kit in the car.

I struggle to pick up DVB where I am; but again I need a 60 element antenna and a masthead booster on the house so not a problem with the kit.

Living in Wales, I had dab on my transporter sportline and have it in her Q7, I don't have dab in my current transporter and I do miss it. Worthwhile for me, perhaps not for everyone. Seen a couple of cars now so need to make a choice, nav is still more of an important option for me than dab or hk so let's see what comes up.
