Hi

I recently purchased a very nice looking 2009 black C220 Cdi AMG sport estate which I am very happy with.

However it does have some kerbing on the original wheels which I could simply refurb but I was thinking I may simply buy some new alloys (graphite or black).. has anyone done something similar and could send pics of what they look like or recommend some alloys?

There seems to be a big difference in price range from approx £400 for 4 wheels or the same price for each wheel.. I presume this has to do with materials, etc but is there anything to be wary of at the cheaper end of the market?

Also, the car does have a couple of small scratches which I would like to clean up - i.e. some swirl marks... any ideas on how best to remove?

Other than this the car looks and drives great so very happy

cheers

Why not refurb the original AMG wheels in Black or Graphite

Didn't know you could..certainly an option. However if I get a new set of wheels then would probably get some 18" wheels over the current 17"

will look into a quote though

I thought all the AMG spec cars were 18" standard

I think after market wheels on a Merc look out of place so I'd go down the refurb route.

Paintwork scratches completely depend on the severity. As a general rule if a fingernail catches on them then it'll need doing professionally. If not then you might be able to hand polish it out.
